Each academic year the Casco Bay Estuary
Partnership employs a student intern from the University of Southern
Maine's Edmund S. Muskie School of Public Service. Selection is based
upon the recommendation of Muskie School faculty.
The Estuary
Partnership administers the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
multi-year National Coastal Assessment monitoring program Maine is part
of this nationwide effort to survey the condition of coastal resources
by creating an integrated, comprehensive coastal monitoring program
that assesses ecological conditions. Internships related to crewing
aboard a research vessel during the summer sampling period are offered
