From outside the region, travelers can fly to Portland International Jetport on six major carriers, or Boston, Massachusetts' Logan Airport and take a train or bus 100 miles north to Portland, Maine.  Holiday Inn by the Bay provides a free airport shuttle from Portland's Jetport to the hotel.  Directions are available at www.innbythebay.com/location.htm

Free Parking is available through the Holiday Inn by the Bay.  You will be given instruction at the hotel entrance. 

The parking meters are for turnover (short-term) parking, so continuously feeding the meter is prohibited.  Downtown parking meters are in effect from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, Sundays are free. 
During winter months, the City of Portland implements City wide parking bans for snow plowing and or snow removal.  Also when necessary a limited parking ban in the YELLOW ZONE, the Portland Downtown District, may go into effect for snow hauling.  This year the bans go into effect at 10:00 PM and continues in effect until 7:00 AM the following morning.  However, under extreme conditions, the hours may be changed or extended. All vehicles left on the street during a snow parking ban will be towed at the owners expense.

The Stormwater Management in Cold Climates Steering Committee has reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, conference site (88 Spring Street, Portland, ME 040101-3924) phone: (800)345-5050.  Room cost is $105 plus tax per night single or double occupancy. 

Online hotel reservations are not available.  Please call the hotel directly at (800) 345-5050 to reserve a hotel room.  Please tell them that you are attending the “Stormwater Management in Cold Climates conference” to get this room rate.
